dc.description.abstract The rapid diffusion of laser scanners in the architectural survey resulted in some modifications in the general methodological framework with regard to control the quantity and quality of information. The data acquisition done with a laser scanner is the first major step in the operation of detection, if not well managed and controlled, it can influence not just subsequent processing materially affect the quality. These two factors are specific and correlated with the resumption of a laser scanner are: the centrality of the instrument position and resolution of points. The problem of the centrality requires a careful selection of station points in order to minimize dead spots due to form internal factors and factors to external interference. The resolution points with the 3D laser scanner is almost always given the amount of horizontal and vertical dots in the unit of measure referring to a spherical surface where you can set the radius. The real resolution is rather than the intersection of laser beams with the object to be detected and depends on the distance and shape of the surfaces of the station shooting. The contribution is intended to bring the results of one study in progress about the relationship between centrality of shooting (or more shootings) and the conformation space of objects detected within the major architecture for the definition of possible criteria for quality assessment and quantity of data. en_US
